Last week, Becker recorded two shutout victories in the first two starts of her collegiate career for the Knights. Becker opened the week making six saves on nine shots faced in her first career start, a 4-0 win against Immaculata this past Monday. The rookie followed that with one save in a 6-0 win over conference rival Hood Saturday. For the season, Becker has five total appearances with a 0.82 goals against average, a .864 save percentage and 19 total saves. The wins were the first two of the season for Arcadia. Earlier this week, the Knights improved to 3-8 with another win versus Delaware Valley. Becker recorded 3 saves and a .75% save percentage. “It is a pleasure to be able to coach Anne in the cage. She is a nonstop communicator and this has helped our defense get organized quickly,” Erin Livingston, Arcadia Head Coach said. “As a freshman keeper she takes her role confidently and is ready for any situation that is thrown at her. She has shown a lot to our team and coaching staff over the past three games of what she is capable of contributing to the team. Anne loves field hockey and loves to compete and it shows when she steps into cage.” Becker was also named MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.
