WORKSHOP—Saturday, October 7, 2017 Workshop Agenda: 8:30 a.m. Check-In, Breakfast and Booths 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. A fascinating and entertaining look into the preschool child’s perception of fire, the surprising frequency of children’s misuse of fire, practical approaches to teach young children fire safety, and introduction to the award winning play safe! be safe! kit. Presented by Dr. Robert Cole, President of the Fireproof Children Foundation & Prevention First. 10:00 a.m.-10:10 a.m. Break and drawings 10:10 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Workshop resumes This workshop is for parents, community members, nurses, teachers, child care providers, early childhood educators, program managers, and fire & life safety educators. All participants receive a free play safe! be safe! kit. Participants may be eligible to receive up to 12 additional kits for distribution, training slides, notes and resource list. 4 KS Nursing CNEs and Social Work CEUs, 3.25 KDHE Clock Hours are provided.

Cost:$5.00 for childcare providers, teachers and general public, $15.00 for nursing and social worker continuing education.
