ITEM: Safety Standard for Portable Generators; Extension of Comment Period and Oral Presentation of Comments (Briefing package dated February 24, 2017) DECISION: The Commission voted (3-2) to not approve the Portable Generator Manufacturers' Association (PGMA) request to extend the comment period by 75 days. Commissioner Kaye, Commissioner Adler and Commissioner Robinson voted to not approve the extension. Acting Chairman Buerkle and Commissioner Mohorovic voted to approve the extension. The Commission voted (3-2) to not approve PGMA's request to postpone the public hearing for oral comments for a period of 90 days. Commissioner Kaye, Commissioner Adler and Commissioner Robinson voted to not approve postponement of the hearing. Acting Chairman Buerkle and Commissioner Mohorovic voted to approve postponement of the hearing. For the Commission:
