Position: Development Coordinator Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week), requires flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends Location: Denver, Colorado (with some statewide travel) Reports To: Development Director The Organization: One Colorado is a statewide organization dedicated to advancing equality and opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Coloradans and their families. Our vision is a fair and just Colorado. The Position: The Development Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Development Director and Executive Director to maintain, improve, and grow a comprehensive fundraising strategy through the annual campaign, signature events, and donor cultivation activities appealing to an active and diverse donor base. This position will be responsible for tracking and recording gifts and contributions through weekly reports, maintaining the development calendar, and providing monthly development graphs for goal-setting and board presentations. This position requires the ability and willingness to represent the organization publicly and professionally in an optimistic and energetic fashion, while at all times displaying exceptional interpersonal skills to interface effectively with board members, donors, vendors, volunteers, and colleagues. The Development Coordinator will own portions of the annual campaign, with specific tasks and goals related to four primary focus areas: 1. 2. 3. 4.

Expectations: An enthusiastic self-starter with high energy and a commitment to the mission of One Colorado. This individual must demonstrate outstanding writing abilities, organizational skills, and impeccable interpersonal skills.

They must be self-driven, able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, and flexible with working non-traditional hours and events (including evenings and weekends). They should possess a keen attention to detail, while also being able to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and deadlines. Candidate Profile: Qualified individuals will possess excellent computer and organizational skills. Candidates with a strong Excel background and database program knowledge will be given preference. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Qualified individuals will bring a minimum of one to two years of development experience.
