POSITION TITLE: EVENT SERVICES STAFF BUSINESS:

EVENT SERVICE STAFF All successful applicants of the Event Services Team will be trained in the positions as an Usher and Ticket Taker, and will rotate between these positions on an event-to-event basis. Usher An usher is primarily responsible for the correct seating and direction of our guests according to their ticket information and to keep guests from other areas from sitting in incorrect seats.      

Inspecting your work area prior to Gate Opening time. Greeting all guests with a smile as they enter the seating area. Checking all tickets. Ensuring guests are sitting in their ticketed seats. Enforcing all policies and restrictions (cameras, pop cans, alcohol, product sampling). Monitoring sections for potential problems and ensuring public safety.

Ticket Taker A ticket taker is primarily responsible for the admission of our guests upon the presentation of a valid ticket and to deny entrance to all unauthorized persons.       

Responsible for inspecting your work area prior to Gate opening time. Ensuring turnstiles are set up and operating properly. Recording opening reading. Greeting all guests as they enter the stadium. Checking tickets for proper gate and date, never leave the turnstile unattended Assisting with enforcing policies (cameras, pop cans, alcohol, etc.) Product sampling and ensuring public safety.

QUALIFICATIONS        

Customer Service Skills, Aggressively Friendly, Enjoys dealing with the public. Excellent oral and written communication skills complimented with a friendly and professional manner. Reliable and Assertive. A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction. Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills. You must be able and interested in supporting a team environment and adhering to the Rogers Centre Mission and Policies. Strong problem solving skills. Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
