What our students say I have enjoyed developing my knowledge on key areas in macroeconomics and microeconomics. Both topics have become a lot more analytical and it is really interesting to learn the algebra behind the theory. In addition, the finance modules have helped me get to grips with the more challenging aspects of the financial industry, taking on more challenging roles and asking important questions of the financial world.

The School of Management careers team were a huge help as they offer industry specific links and exclusive roles. Speaking to lecturers about careers options has also been of assistance in researching which industries and sectors would be an ideal fit for me.

What our students say After studying my undergraduate degree at Swansea I honestly could not imagine being anywhere else. Not only is the scenery amazing but the lecturers and staff are too. Knowing how competitive the graduate job market is I knew the MSc in Strategic Marketing would really help me gain a successful start in the working world - especially with the summer placement. The modules also looked interesting and they have

not disappointed. I am loving the course so far and would definitely recommend it. It is great to be a part of the School of Management because it has so many resources. The Careers team have been particularly useful to me recently on my graduate job hunt: making the whole process so much less scary.

Non-native English speakers must achieve an IELTS score of 6.0-6.5 overall with no component less than 5.5-6.0 (see course listings for exact entry requirement per course).

Some of our master’s programmes accept students from any undergraduate degree discipline, whereas our specialist master’s programmes will often require previous study in a related subject area.

Other equivalent tests are acceptable in lieu of an IELTS, or if you have studied an undergraduate degree taught through the medium of English, you might be exempt from this requirement. For more information, please visit swansea.ac.uk/postgraduate/apply.

Please visit our website for up-to-date entry requirements for each degree programme: swansea.ac.uk/som/postgraduate-study

We consider all applications on their merits and look at each individual case before making an offer, so students who fall slightly short of the entry criteria or have alternative equivalent work experience should still apply to the School of Management.

For students who fall short of only the English language requirement we offer a range of Pre-Master's training programmes that you may take before starting your Master's qualification.

For students who fall significantly short of the general entry requirement we offer a Pre-Master's programme via The College that will allow you to enter our postgraduate programmes.

When preparing to study abroad, applying for and obtaining your visa can be a stressful time for an international student. We are here to help make this process easier for you.
