This map illustrates sections of primary and secondary roads affected by mud, debris, and occasional standing water in and around the city of Mukalla, Hadramut Governorate, Yemen, resulting from rains during Cyclone Chapala occurring 2-4 November 2015. Using a WorldView-3 satellite image acquired 4 November 2015 and a GeoEye-1 image from 24 October 2015, UNITAR-UNOSAT identified ~35 km of roads by likely affected by mud, debris, and

occasional standing water. As of 4 November 2015, several damaged buildings are also visible possibly as a consequence of the cyclone, though ongoing conflict in the area may also be a factor. A landslide is visible as of 4 November 2015 near the stadium, which is also inundated in mud, and caused by flash floods. This is a preliminary analysis and has not yet been validated in the field.
