ABOUT THE PROJECT La Ira de Dios is an artist-run space based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We began in 2010 as an exhibition space before moving to a warehouse in 2014. Since then, in addition to the exhibitions, we are developing a residency program. In 2015 we ran our first three programs and we welcomed over 30

ABOUT THE BUILDING Our two floor building is located in the Villa Crespo neighborhood, one of the most vibrant spots in Buenos Aires art scene. Our workspace is surrounded by galleries and art projects such as Ruth Benzacar, Nora Fish, DocumentArt, Arte x Arte, Slyzmud, Gachi Prieto, Proyectarte, and many others. We have 500 square meters of available space compromising of 7 studios and an exhibition space of 140 square meters, which turns into an open working area during a residency program.
ABOUT THE RESIDENCY We host three residency programs a year, each lasting for a month. We also receive artists all year long to work in private studios for up to one year. The four week intensive residency selects a group of international and local artists who will partake in a number of workshops as they immerse themselves in new or ongoing projects. The residency culminates in an open studio which is an integral part of our program of exhibitions. The exhibition is open to the public for the last 4 days of the residency, during which special visits and presentations are coordinated. Each program is under the guidance of a selected curator, with the participation in 2015 of Mariana Rodriguez Iglesias, Gabriel Valansi and Laeticia Mello. The curator leads the regular work meetings, follows each project and curates the final exhibition. Residents also have the assistance of both a production coordinator and the directors of the project, Carolina Magnin and Pablo Caligaris. The schedule of activities also includes visits to relevant art spaces in Buenos Aires, open presentations of the participants, and visits from other educational programs, artists, curators, and critics.
The accommodation for each participant is arranged in private rooms and apartments near our building. There are no working time restrictions, and each participant have full access to all the tools and work spaces.
