On Saturday, August 20, 2016, at approximately 12:27 a.m., San Bruno Police Officers responded to the 900 block of El Camino Real in San Bruno regarding the report of a robbery. Officers determined that a subject had been robbed of money after a agreeing to meet a suspected prostitute at a hotel. The suspect in this case threatened the victim with a knife and held him against his will during the course of the robbery. The victim was not injured as a result of this incident. A subsequent investigation resulted in the positive identification of Renette Gasio, a twenty-six year old resident of San Francisco, as the subject who had committed these crimes. Gasio was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for charges related to robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and false imprisonment.
