The Fraser Basin Council (FBC) is seeking a staff member to work as part of the Climate Change and Air Quality team, to support green transportation and electric vehicle outreach initiatives. Position responsibilities include: • • •

Program management: Coordinating a multi-partner public outreach campaign to raise awareness on Electric Vehicles, called Emotive the Electric Vehicle Experience. Partner engagement: Liaising with electric vehicle owners, automakers, dealerships, local government, and funding partners. Event coordination: Planning and staffing public events and test-drives, supporting community partners with their hosted events, supplying required materials and attaining volunteers and vehicles. Must be willing to travel to events around British Columbia. Program development: Seeking opportunities to engage additional communities and partners in the Emotive campaign. Content development: Updating content related to the Emotive campaign (collateral materials, website etc.), as well as content on the Plug In BC website. Facebook and social media management: Researching and creating a monthly Facebook calendar and regular monitoring/posting of social media posts. Administration: Tracking event statistics, audience reach, updating contact databases, reporting.

Preferred skills: • • • • • • • •

Exceptional and diverse communications skills; Strong coordination skills with demonstrated experience in managing and tracking projects or contracts; Strong attention to detail; Proficiency in writing and office computer skills, as well as use of digital engagement technologies such as webinars, contact management systems and social media; Familiarity with the auto industry, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure; Knowledge of clean energy, energy efficient technology, and climate change mitigation; Enjoy working in a dynamic team environment; A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as marketing, communications, planning, business, or environmental management.
