Responsibilities: Under the overall supervision of UNU-IAS Director, and under the direct guidance and supervision of the Administrative Director of the Postgraduate Degree and Training (PDT) Programme, the Programme Coordinator shall perform the following tasks:       

Gather and disseminate recruitment information at UN agencies and other international organizations, International and National Universities to enhance career opportunities of students and alumni; Provide various career guidance and information to students and alumni including assistance with applications and interviews through career events, publications, and consultations; Develop and maintain contacts with UN agencies, international organizations, International and National Universities, and other concerned institutes/organizations; Collect and provide information on career seminars, trainings, and internship opportunities at UN agencies, international organizations, and other concerned institutes/organizations; Planning, organizing and implementing outreach projects to engage potential applicants in Japan and other countries for the postgraduate degree programme; Assist in preparing and disseminating information on the PDT Programme to universities, organizations and institutions in and outside of Japan; Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience: 

   

Master’s Degree in Education or equivalent field of study and at least 7 year working experience with at least 2 years of work experience at higher education institutions, preferably in an international environment. Professional experience in career services or related field is desirable. Equivalent experience in combination with a Bachelor’s Degree will be considered ; Excellent written and spoken English and Japanese language communications skill is essential; Proficiency in MS Office Applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
