Barriere Health Centre emergency department closed today Barriere – Barriere and area residents are advised that, due to unexpected temporary limited staffing availability, the emergency department at the Barriere Health Centre is closed today. The physician clinic at the health centre remains open today for scheduled physician appointments. However, residents should take note of the following if they require care while the emergency department is closed:
In the event of an emergency, call 9-1-1. Visit the emergency departments at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops or at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital in Clearwater. Call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 (24 hour service), if you are unsure about your need to go to the emergency department.
Interior Health regrets this temporary change to normal service hours. Note: Regular emergency department hours for the health centre in Barriere are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. -30-
