New Denver emergency department temporary service change NEW DENVER – New Denver and area residents are advised that, due to limited physician availability, the emergency department at the Slocan Community Health Centre will be closed from 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1 until 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5. Residents should take note of the following if they require care while the emergency department is closed:
In the event of an emergency, call 9-1-1. Visit the emergency department at Arrow Lakes Hospital in Nakusp (open 24/7). Call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 (24 hour service), if you are unsure about your need to go to the emergency department.
Interior Health regrets this temporary change to normal service hours. Full emergency department services will resume at 8 a.m. on Sept. 5. Note: Regular emergency department hours for the health centre in New Denver are 24 hours a day, seven days a week. -30-
