40 Year Celebration This year Weber UK celebrates 40 Years of the Weber name in the UK. Established as a manufacturing subsiduary of Weber-Hydraulik GMBH in 1974 producing a range of hydraulic bottle jacks specifically for the O.E. truck industry within the UK market. This business expanded rapidly with manufacturing at a production rate of 70,000 units per year at the original site on the Broomhills Industrial Estate in Braintree, Essex. Following the decline in the UK truck industry and the subsequent dramatic effect on our total business the decision was made to move the manufacturing facility back
to Germany and re-focus our activities in the after-market sector. This gave us time to firmly establish the Weber name as a supplier of high quality garage equipment products. In 2002 a management buy-out was agreed with Weber-Hydraulik GMBH and the company entered an exciting new era trading as Weber UK Limited. The name had changed but not the quality of the products or customer service. This wasn’t enough for us, we wanted to improve further so during December 2006 we moved to much larger premises in Halstead, Essex where we can now successfully carry out all sales, servicing, warehousing and distribution operations
to a high standard. This has allowed us to remain a ISO 9001:2008 registered company. In addition to this a comprehensive repair and service facility is available for all Weber UK products and other selected equipment. Weber UK has survived 6 recessions in our 40 year history and still we are going strong.
