The ‘Be Interview Ready’ Playlist… Is a series of 6 activities to get you prepped to interview! You’ll discover the power of LinkedIn. You’ll learn how to build your personal brand. You’ll practice selling your skills and get ready to ace your interview! By completing the playlist, you will unlock access to interviews at 100K Opportunities Chicago hiring events and other employment opportunities.

Overview LRNG: CHI is a new digital platform that transforms how you access and experience learning and the paths you can take to success. This platform helps you:  Develop skills to prepare for employment; and  Explore your passions

How it Works On the platform, you will find:  Playlists: Curated groups of learning experiences that connect young people in Chicago to learning opportunities  XPs: Experiences (or activities) that make up a playlist or stand alone  Digital Badges: Shareable, digital credentials that provides evidence of a meaningful learning achievement. When you complete a playlist, an assessor will evaluate your work. The assessor may give you feedback. Once you have successfully completed the playlist, you will earn a digital badge that you can share on your social media channels and on your resumes.

Get Started Signing Up: 1. Visit: www.lrng.org/chicago. Browsers supported: Most versions of Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. 2. Sign Up: Select ‘Sign up’ in the top right corner and follow the instructions to register. 3. Log In: Use the username and password you just created. 4. Start the ‘Be Interview Ready’ Playlist: Scroll down to the ‘featured content’ section (the first row of boxes on the home page). Select the ‘Be Interview Ready’ Playlist.

Completing the Playlist The ‘Be Interview Ready’ Playlist is made up of 6 XPs. You can come back to the Playlist if you don’t finish it in one sitting. A few notes:  When you click on an XP, you’ll be presented with a description (learning goals), resources, and directions for submitting your work.  Remember to complete the ‘Show and Prove’ section on each XP to prove you’ve done the work.  After you complete all the XPs in the Playlist, you can submit your work for approval.  An assessor will review your work and let you know if they have any questions. This takes a few days.  Once the assessor approves your work, you’ll get a digital badge to prove your mastery.

Support Questions What If I Have Problems on the Platform?  First, make sure you’re not on Internet Explorer. If your computer only has Internet Explorer, visit https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html and download Google Chrome.  If you forgot your username or password, click ‘Forgot Username or Password’ on the sign-in page. o If you still can’t sign in, click on the ‘help’ button at the bottom right of the page, and select ‘contact support’.
