What is Full Time Quiet Study Period? It is a resident driven initiative motivated by the need to insure that the residential environment is as conducive as possible to intense study. Some of you have begun your assessments already; others will still be studying long after you are finished. Please remember: if you want to celebrate your freedom in a way that may disturb, please do so off campus.

What is the Chill Out Period? It is a break in the day when residents can relax a bit. This is the perfect time to kick the footy (outside please!), take the headphones off and listen to your music (reasonable volume levels please!), liaise with fellow residents, etc. Please keep all areas free of excessive noise so that residents are guaranteed a place to work in peace during Chill Out.

Peace and privacy outside of the Chill Out Period Outside of the Chill Out Periods it should always be quiet enough for the reasonable person to be able to study uninterrupted by external disruptions. Consideration for others calls for special care. Please walk softly along corridors, close doors gently and avoid loud conversation. Also note that, TVs, computers, stereos, conversation etc. should not be audible outside rooms. Room doors should be shut and headphones used. The rights of residents working or relaxing quietly in their rooms takes precedence over other activities.
