STTRENGTHENING THE CAPABILIT C IES OF INTTERDISCIPLLINARY TEA AMS Scchaffer supp ported a serries of schoo ol-based Ra apid Resultss projects th hat resulted in significa ant acchievementss in accelera ating acade emic perform mance (i.e., improved rreading, writing and nu umeracy scores), talent, and socia al emotional developme ent and opeerational effficiencies – including cclosing a $5 50MM budg get deficit. Th hese results were accom mplished byy supporting g a series off project tea ams to acce elerate Distrrict-wide pe erformance. Through intensive worrk with the leadership l tteam and sttaff, Schaffe er helped sttrengthen the e capabilitie es of the intterdisciplina ary teams re esponsible ffor providing support a and advocaccy in each of the schoolss. On ne school, fo or instance, selected a Rapid Resu ults goal of improving 5 5th grade sttudents’ ELA A writing scores by 2 orr more levels (accordin ng to the New York state 6th grade e ELA writing g rubric) witthin 75 ays. da
