Race to the Barn! What you’ll need: Two dice The game board on the next page Two horses are in a field, a bay and a chestnut. The object of the game—get your horse to the barn in time for supper first! Each player chooses which one he/she would like to be. The bay horse is represented by the horseshoe picture; the chestnut horse is represented by the horse picture. Place a marker, like a button, on the start block for each player. If you would like to play this game with more than two players, you can divide the players into teams. Or, have two people play at a time. Then, let two more people play. Whoever wins each game moves on and gets to play each other! On your turn, roll both dice together. Add the total of the two dice, then look at the chart below. Do whatever the chart says—even if it isn’t for your horse! Ex.: If you are the bay horse and you roll a total of 6, you must move your opponent ahead three spaces! But, if you roll a total of 7, you get to move your own horse ahead three spaces.
