If you want to study at Roosevelt University but do not meet the English language requirements to be admitted directly, the International Study Center (ISC) is the best place to start.

To help you fulfill your career ambitions, we have integrated a career support into the programs at the ISC. This service, called CareerAhead, is designed to help you become a confident, highly skilled and extremely employable graduate and give you a head start in today’s competitive employment market.

Every student has the choice to join the ISC Club, which organizes social activities and field trips designed to acquaint you with Chicago, American traditions and your classmates. The Club also closely interacts with the University’s International Student Association.

LEARN THE SKILLS YOU NEED You will receive a combination of English language preparation, academic courses and study skills training that will fully prepare you for entering your chosen degree at Roosevelt University. Undergraduate students will earn up to 28 academic credits toward a bachelor's degree, and most graduate students will be able to apply one academic course toward a master's degree.

PROGRESS TO YOUR DEGREE SUPPORT FROM DAY ONE Teachers and staff at the ISC will make you feel welcome from the first day you arrive on campus. We will help you adapt to living in America and build your confidence, so that you can become an active member of the Roosevelt community, succeed in your studies, make friends and reach your goals.

Upon successful completion of your ISC studies, you will progress into your chosen undergraduate or graduate program of study at a point equal to your earned credits.

Scholarships Available Scholarships based on academic criteria are available for International Year One (IY1) and Pre-Master’s Program (PMP) applicants. IY1 students who have completed the ISC program with satisfactory status are also eligible for a $3,500 scholarship when progressing into full-time degree study at Roosevelt University.
