“How  To”  Reference:  Logging  In   Get  Started  in  Your  LexBlog  Community

Logging  In   Reach  is  a  private  community,  configured  specifically  for  LexBlog  clients.  As  such,  you  will  be  prompted  to   log  into  the  community  if  you  directly  visit  without  first  signing  into  your  blog  (e.g.  in  another  browser  tab).   Without  signing  in,  the  homepage  of  Reach  (at  community.lexblog.com)  shows  a  sign  in  button:

Click  the  purple  “sign  in”  button  to  begin  the  sign  in  process.  You  will  then  see  a  pop  up  window  confirming   you  want  to  sign  in  and  agree  to  the  platform  terms:

Troubleshooting  Tip:  If  your  browser  has  pop-ups  disabled  or  if  your  security  settings  do  not  allow   third-party  cookies,  it  is  possible  you  will  not  see  this  pop  up.  Try  enabling  pop  ups  and/or  updating   browser  settings  then  refreshing  (CTRL+R)  in  order  to  see  this  confirmation  pop-up.   After  you  click  the  “REACH  by  LexBlog”  button,  another  pop-up  will  appear  with  fields  for  your  blog  user   email  and  password:

Complete  these  fields,  then  click  the  “Log  In”  button  to  complete  the  process  of  logging  into  Reach.

Additional  Troubleshooting   Reach  is  an  online  platform  that  relies  on  technology  that  may  or  may  not  be  compatible  with  your  current   computer,  browser,  or  other  related  setup.  The  following  browsers  are  compatible  for  viewing  and   participating  in  Reach:   ● ● ● ● ● ● ●

Chrome  (latest)   Firefox  (latest)   Safari  (latest)   Internet  Explorer  9+   Internet  Explorer  8  (some  visual  design  inconsistencies)   iOS  7+  (Safari)   Android  4+  (Android  browser)

If  your  browser  is  not  listed  above,  it  is  possible  Reach  will  not  be  available  to  you  until  you  are  able  to   upgrade.  But,  some  users  have  experienced  difficulty  accessing  Reach  for  the  first  time  even  though  they  do   have  one  of  the  supported  browsers.  Following  are  specific  scenarios  and  information  for  you  if  you   encounter  an  issue.

Issue:  Prompted  for  Verification  Code,  Then  Code  (from  Email)  Does  Not  Work   If  you  are  prompted  for  a  verification  code,  do  not  close  your  Reach  browser  window.  For  security  reasons,   closing  your  browser  window  will  invalidate  the  emailed  verification  code.  Instead,  make  sure  you  keep  that   browser  window  open  while  retrieving  your  email  with  the  verification  code.

Issue:  My  Login  Credentials  Don’t  Work  /  Error  Message  After  Clicking  “Log  In”   If  you  are  a  member  of  more  than  one  blog  on  our  network,  it  is  possible  your  log-ins  contain  conflicting  user   information.  Or,  it  is  possible  that  the  email  associated  with  your  blog  login  is  different  than  you  anticipated.   To  fix,  go  to  your  blog  and  sign-in,  then  visit  your  user  profile  to  confirm  your  information  is  correct.  Reset   your  password  in  your  user  profile  to  be  sure  you  are  able  to  access  the  community  with  the  correct   password.  Contact  your  account  manager  if  you  are  still  unable  to  access  the  community.   Additionally,  if  you  are  on  a  legacy  blogging  platform  with  LexBlog  (MT3  or  MT4),  you  will  need  to   speak  with  your  account  manager  for  assistance  accessing  the  community.

Issue:  I  Don’t  See  Anything  After  Clicking  “Sign  In”  (No  Email  /  Password  Prompt)   If  your  browser  has  pop-ups  disabled  or  if  your  security  settings  do  not  allow  third-party  cookies,  it  is   possible  you  will  not  see  the  pop  ups  associated  with  the  login  process.  Try  enabling  pop  ups  and/or   updating  browser  settings  then  performing  a  “hard”  refresh  (CTRL+R  for  PC)  in  order  to  see  this  confirmation   pop-up.  If  this  still  does  not  remedy  the  issue,  clear  your  browser  cache  and  cookies,  then  restart  the   process.

Post  a  New  Conversation   If  after  performing  a  search  you  do  not  find  a  result  that  addresses  your  particular  question  or  idea,  at  the   bottom  of  the  search  results  page,  find  and  click  the  “Continue  Creating  Conversation”  button:

On  the  new  conversation  page  that  appears,  you  can  indicate  the  specific  details  of  your  question.  In   particular,  you  can  update  the  title,  select  the  type  of  conversation  you  are  posting  (question,  idea,  or   praise),  and  select  what  particular  Reach  categories  apply  to  your  post:

You  can  then  preview  your  post  (by  clicking  “Preview”  from  the  conversation  page  shown  above)  and  from  the   “Preview”  screen,  “Post”  the  conversation  to  the  community.   After  you  “Post”,  any  other  members  of  the  community  can  reply  -  offering  insights  and  resources  to  you.   This  could  mean  that  another  professional  helps  with  a  shared  issue  or  that  a  LexBlog  employee  provides   clarification.   By  posting  a  new  conversation  to  the  community,  you  will  be  alerted,  by  email,  to  replies  to  your  post,  so   you  will  not  need  to  re-login  to  the  community  to  see  if  there  has  been  an  update  posted  for  you.

Reply  to  Existing  Conversations   At  any  time,  you  are  encouraged  to  reply  to  an  existing  conversation  to  add  further  context  to  a  previously   asked  question  or  idea,  or  possibly  answer  another  community  member’s  question  based  on  your   experience.  To  reply,  click  through  to  an  existing  conversation  page:

“How  To”  Reference:  Reply,  “Me  Too”/“Like”,  Follow   Stay  Active  in  Your  LexBlog  Community

“Me  Too”  a  Question  or  “Like”  an  Idea   In  addition  to  replying  to  a  conversation,  you  can  quickly  show  agreement  around  a  particular  conversation   by  using  the  “Me  Too”  or  “Like”  function.  Use  “Me  Too”  if  you  also  have  the  question  posted,  or  use  “Like”  if   you  agree  that  the  idea  posted  is  a  good  idea  LexBlog  should  pursue.   To  use,  navigate  to  an  individual  conversation:

In  the  upper  right,  click  the  “Me  Too”  or  “Like”  button  (they  will  appear  in  the  same  location  but  the  text  will   change  based  on  the  type  of  conversation  you  are  viewing):

Using  these  two  functions  will  help  LexBlog  better  understand  which  resources  will  have  the  greatest   positive  impact.   For  example,  if  there  is  a  question  that  everyone  has,  it’s  possible  some  additional  training  materials  should   be  provided  for  all  clients  to  help  address  the  issue.  Or,  if  there  is  an  idea  for  a  way  to  improve  our  blog   platform  that  results  in  a  large  number  of  “Like”  responses,  we  will  make  sure  it  is  considered  by  our  product   team.

“How  To”  Reference:  Reply,  “Me  Too”/“Like”,  Follow   Stay  Active  in  Your  LexBlog  Community

Follow  Conversations  and  Categories   You  can  “listen”  to  existing  community  posts  by  subscribing  to  email  alerts  using  the  “Follow”  function  in   Reach.  By  default,  if  you  participate  in  an  existing  conversation,  you  will  “follow”  a  conversation  (therefore   receiving  an  email  if/when  and  additional  person  posts  a  reply).   Using  “Follow”,  you  can  stay  engaged  with  latest  discussion  in  the  community  on  the  topics  that  matter  to   you.  For  example,  if  you  want  to  make  sure  you  always  know  when  new  LexBlog  Webinar  information  is   available,  consider  following  the  “LexBlog  Webinars”  category.   Start  by  navigating  to  an  existing  conversation  or  category  page  in  the  community:

For  a  category,  find  the  “Follow”  button  below  the  category  name.  For  a  conversation,  find  the  follow  button   on  the  right  or  possibly  directly  below  the  original  conversation  post.  Click  the  follow  button  to  be  instantly   subscribed  to  receive  updates  for  the  category  or  conversation:

The  “Follow”  button  will  change  colors  and  read  “Unfollow”.  To  stop  following  at  any  time,  click  the  “Unfollow   button”:

Tip:  If  you  aren’t  sure  if  you  are  interested  in  following  a  particular  category,  read  the  category   description  to  get  an  overview  of  what  conversations  will  be  posted  there.
