Superintendents, Principals, School Safety Coordinators, Facility Managers, Counselors, School Psychologists, Social Workers, Teachers, Law Enforcement, others who serve on planning teams responsible for developing and revising school emergency operations plan (EOP) AM LARGE GROUP TRAINING SESSION **BOTH LOCATIONS** “Developing Emergency Operations Plans K-12 Training” In collaboration with their local government and community partners, schools can take steps to plan for potential emergencies through the creation of a high-quality school EOP. This training provides an overview of a recommended six-step planning process to create a high -quality school EOP. It is applicable for audiences interested in creating, revising, or enhancing school EOPs.

Deputy Elhert will show how easy it is for a predator to target our kids and the methods they use. Sexting laws, why our children engage in this behavior, and popular apps will be covered.

BREAKOUT SESSION (Minocqua) “Repairing the Harm: An Overview of Restorative Practices in School Settings,” Christine Kleiman, Wisconsin Safe and Healthy Schools Center In today’s schools, care for the person(s) harmed through misbehavior is rarely addressed in intentional ways. Misbehavior is punished leaving the student to feel disconnected from school and at times also feeling like a victim. The goals of Restorative Practices apply not only to those involved in or affected by misbehavior, but to the larger educational community as well.
