1:30pm - 3:30pm Learn how to play a band instrument this summer! You will learn to play everything from ftute, damet, and saxophone in the woodwind family, to trumpet, trombone, French horn, and tuba in the brass family. You may also learn drums. When you oomplete this class, you can play in your school band in the fall.

1:30pm - 3:30pm The class offers students an opportunity to explore and develop their musical and vocal talents, in a supportive and friendly setting. This experience may include vocal exercises, singing songs from a variety of genres, and learning note reading.

1 :30pm - 3:30pm or 3:30-5:30 Is Wolfgang Puck your child's hero? In this beginning cooking class, students will learn the basic fundamentals of cooking, including how to follow recipes, measuring, preparing a wide range of foods, and how to use various kitchen tools and equipment. Proper nutrition, buying foods and marketing, consumer issues and career application will also be covered in this dass that will help your child become the next master chef!

Middle School Band 1:30pm - 3:30pm All musicians should have one year of playing experience on brass, woodwind, or percussion instruments. Guitarists who can read music, tabs, or chord diagrams are also weloome.

Beginning Strings 1:30pm - 3:30pm Learn how to play a siring instrument this summer. You will learn to play the violin, viola, cello, or string bass. If you oomplete this class, you can play in your school's string group in the fall.

Intermediate Strings 1 :30pm - 3:30pm Musicians in this dass should have at least one year of playing experience on violin, viola, cello, or string bass. Having successfully completed this class, students will qualify to join the Advanced String Orchestra next summer.

Advanced String Orchestra 1:30pm - 3:30pm The class will ooncentrate on more advanced string pieces. Techniques such as Spicatto, double-stops, and others will be introduced. Playing in tune as a group will be reinforced and ear-training exercises will be used to that effect.

Basketball Camp This is a oomplete instructional course designed to provide students with the fundamentals and strategies of basketball. Students will learn about dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, and defense. The camp will also focus on building team concepts. The camp will be taught by high school coaches and other experienced ooaches. A free practice I-shirt will be given to all participants. Session 1: June 6 to June 23 Session II: June 27 to July 14 Days: Monday - Thursday Time: 1:30pm - 3:30pm Location: Mark Keppel H.S. Gym Cost is for each session Games, Puules & Math - Grades 6-8 1:30-3:30 Have you ever wondered if there were ways to increase your ability to play games or more easily solve puzzles? There are when you understand the math oonnection to games and puzzles such as, sudoku, Rubik's Cube, tic-tactoe, peg solitaire, and NIM. It will be fun and mathematically interesting.

School of Rock Grades 6-8 3:30pm - 5:30pm Are you ready to be a rock star? If you know how to play guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, or drums, and like to sing, this new class is for you! We'll learn to play dassic rock, jam to some new songs, and finish out the summer with a performance for our parents.

Guitar 3:30pm - 5:30pm This class is designed for students with little or no previous playing experience. Students will learn about playing guitar at a beginning level and will learn different styles, skills, and techniques. Some areas of concentration will indude: reading tablature, playing chords and melodies, playing with a pick and with fingers, rhythms and strumming. The purpose is to give students skills so that when the class is over they will be able to learn and play riffs, melodies, and chords to a variety of songs.
