Fabrication and welding Renown Group utilises the latest fabrication and welding techniques to engineer heavy and complex components and structures in a wide range of metals. Our highly qualified welders are approved to ASME IX, BSEN and AWS standards. Each welder is regularly audited to ensure conformance to numerous specifications and standards in MIG, TIG and MMA. Our fabrication and welding capabilities include:
Capacity to fabricate components in ferrous and non-ferrous metals
In-house design and utilisation of jigs and fixtures to ensure consistency of batch components
Rigorous inspection procedures can include the use of CMM to ensure compliance with individual customer specifications
Automated welding Renown Group provides the full turnkey package in automated welding services. These services provide corrosion resistant, high-specification solutions for products that will be exposed to hostile environments, as well as pre-fabrication and special fittings. Our automated welding capabilities include:
Weld overlay cladding with capacity for parts weighing up to 5 tonnes
Jetline column and boom for weld overlay cladding or butt welding
Jetline slide and rail for butt welding

Operating from our modern facility, our CNC machining centres utilise the latest DNC technology to reduce manufacturing process time and maximise spindle cutting times. Our fully equipped workshops allow turning of components up to 6 tonnes, milling up to 4 tonnes and inspection facilities including CMM.
Painting and coating From our environmentally controlled paint shop we deliver an extensive range of surface preparation and painting and coating services. This includes anti-corrosive resistant primers, protective coatings and finishes and coating services to NORSOK specifications. Renown Group can have paint specifications approved to NACE Level 3.
Watertight, gastight and weathertight doors and hatches As part of the Renown Group, Westmoor Engineering has a long heritage in the design and manufacture of doors and hatches. Originally for shipping, these products can now be designed to suit any offshore or onshore application, such as vessel, offshore platforms, wind turbines and civil engineering projects. Westmoor Engineering can also test doors in-house, with external verification upon the client’s request. Westmoor Engineering’s product range includes:

Blast, ballistic, fire and forced entry doors, windows, curtain wall and structures As part of the Renown Group, Pensher Skytech can design, manufacture and install products to protect people against natural or human threat. Pensher Skytech’s products are ideal for security, civil engineering, petrochemical and high profile projects. Our bespoke approach to projects means our products can be designed and manufactured to suit most specified applications. Pensher Skytech’s products are also put through intense testing when required, such as blast, ballistic and forced entry. Pensher Skytech’s product range includes:
Blast, ballistic, fire and forced entry resistant doors, windows, curtain wall and structures
Blast resistant structures, such as guard and safe houses
Externally tested and approved products
Design and analysis Using software packages such as Solid Works, Inventor and AutoCAD we deliver bespoke packages or generate manufacturing drawings and details from 3D models supplied by our customers. These designs are supported by FEA and other calculations to confirm the integrity of the design work. When required, third party inspection agencies such as Lloyd, DNV and ABS have verified our design improvements.
Quality assurance Renown Group can provide on-going quality assurance, with engineering processes assessed and monitored to specific customer requirements. This includes Renown Group engineering brands accredited to ISO:9001 2008, as well as an in-house inspection team qualified in NDE techniques including Dye Penetrant Inspection, Magnet Particle Inspection and Ultrasonic Testing. Renown Group also has in-house CMM inspection facilities.
Assembly and testing Assembly and testing facilities at Renown Group form part of a full engineering service. Our assembly capabilities include hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical. Renown Group operates a range of verification techniques including various pressure testing and NDT testing such as MPI, UT and DPI. Our testing range is from the first article of inspection to functional test of assemblies.
Project management Renown Group has dedicated, highly experienced project managers across a range of disciplines. All services and products are project managed to your needs. This support can start from initial concept design, to manufacture, through to the installation phase. Renown Group works tirelessly to support your project and its completion.
