Organised for PhD, post-doc and junior researchers who want to discuss journal publishing with journal editors, learn from research and career experts and share learning with their peers.

Bruno Woeran is EU-Affairs Manager at the Technology Center Merinova Oy having previously held positions as EU-Affairs Manager for EnergyVaasa, Grant Officer & Controller at IST Austria, ICT Technology Consultant at eutema.com Technology Management. He is a member of several boards to foster innovation including ISPIM, TII, EAIE and Leonet. His specialties include EU & national research and technology programmes; innovation management; knowledge exchange and technology transfer collaboration; public authorities cooperation; international project development and management; organization development; team building, network development, training and qualification. Dr Eelko Huizingh is an experienced academic research and writing skills trainer having run more than 90 workshops around the world helping both junior and senior academics to publish for career advancement and to attract funding through improved written communication – www.HAcademic.com. As an Associate Professor of Innovation Management at the University of Groningen his academic research focuses on the intersection of innovation & entrepreneurship, marketing and information technology. He has (co-)authored over 300 articles, edited more than 20 Journal Special Issues and published textbooks. Joanne Hyland is the President of the rInnovation Group and former VP, New Venture Development at Nortel Networks. Joanne works with major corporations to link innovation with strategy and to develop systems, leadership and culture capabilities that drive growth and corporate renewal. The rInnovation Group client list includes Air Products, BASF, Grundfos, Moen, Novozymes, Shell and Westinghouse among others. Joanne partcipates on corporate innovation advisory boards, speaks regularly on topics related to innovation and corporate venturing and has been a member of the faculty or guest speaker in executive education programs at Babson College, Danish Technical University, MIT, RPI, Stanford University, Tata and the Industrial Research Institute. Dr Anne-Laure Mention is Head of the Innovation Economics & Service Valuation and INNOFinance Program Manager at Luxembourg Institute of Science & Technology. Her research interests concentrate on open and collaborative innovation, intellectual capital measurement, management and valuation, innovation and technology management. She has been a Visiting Researcher at McGill University, Canada and Ferrara University, Italy and at Singapore Management University. She has twice received the IBM Faculty Award and is a founding member of WICI, a long-standing member of the ISPIM Advisory Board and is a founding editor of the Journal of Innovation Management. Dr Joe Tidd is Director of Studies, MSc in Technology and Innovation Management at SPRU. Joe is a physicist with subsequent degrees in technology policy and business administration. He is Professor of Technology and Innovation Management at SPRU, University of Sussex, and visiting Professor at Imperial College Management School, University of London. He was previously Director of the Executive MBA Programme at Imperial College. He is a winner of the Price Waterhouse Urwick Medal for contribution to management teaching and research, and the Epton Prize from the R&D Society. Dr Heidi Olander 's research interests are in micro foundation theory examining the knowledge sharing and protection behaviors of individuals within companies in collaborative innovation. Heidi has worked as project manager for the research project InnoSpring Knowledge Protection and Sharing in Global Value Networks - a Tekes research project co-funded with Finnish players such as Nokia Research Center, KONE, Outotec and Finnish Technology Industries dealing with the different kinds of knowledge protection mechanisms and their effectiveness on a global scale. Besides research Heidi also teaches courses such as qualitative research methods, and entrepreneurship as well as supervises Bachelors' and Masters' theses especially in the areas of Management and Knowledge Management at the LUT School of Business and Management.
