Request for Information (RFI): Professional Development Workshops December 5, 2017 Questions & Answers General Application Questions 1Q, Is there a time associated with this due date? 1A. Applicants have until 11:59pm on December 8 to submit. 2Q. Will there be any opportunity to submit a proposal for fundraising workshops? 2A. No, fundraising is not included in the topics for the current RFI, so a proposal for a fundraising workshop would not be aligned for this particular request. 3Q. After reviewing the instructions, it states in the "cover letter" section for information to be provided about the organizations. Does this mean that individuals can not apply if they are not associated with an organization? 3A. Individuals can apply. Applicants do not need to be affiliated with an organization. 4Q: I will assume that the below is not correct?: "SCOPE OF SERVICES – WORKSHOP TOPIC AREAS The workshop schedule will be finalized by the end of December 2017 and sessions are held throughout the year from January 3, 2017 ..” 4A. It should read January 3, 2018.

Workshop Related Questions 5Q. Who is the audience? 5A. The trainings will be open to all community members. However, our target audience is OST front-line staff. 6Q. The description of the workshop topic 'Youth Development Practice' states the workshop should include an introduction to "the youth development framework". I use multiple frameworks and models when I discuss youth development. Is there a specific framework that should be used? 6A. How are these trainings advertised (or is that at our discretion?)? 7A. Trainings are advertised through the Professional Development page of our website. Some trainings may also be shared via email. 8Q. Where will sessions take place? 8A. Sessions will take place at Family League’s office.

9Q. When will PD sessions take place? 9A. The sessions will take place between January 3, 2018 to June 30, 2018. 10Q. What time will sessions take place? 10A. Facilitators will work with the Program Director of Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) to find suitable dates and times for all PD sessions. 11Q. What are the minimum and the maximum number of sessions that facilitators can lead? 11A. These have not yet been determined. 12Q. Will we be able to choose the date and time that we lead the PD session(s)? 12A. As noted in the response to 10Q, facilitators will work with the Program Director of ELO to find suitable dates and times for all PD sessions. 13Q. Is each session required to be at 3 hours? 13A. Session times may vary between 2 – 3 hours. 14Q. What are allowable costs that can be included aside from prep time and facilitation? Can we include travel (mileage), printing, supplies, etc.? 14A. Printing and supplies are allowable costs. For travel, we would allow reimbursement for mileage only. 15Q. Can we charge attendants on top of what we are being paid? 15A. No. 16Q. Who schedules and arranges trainings and where are they hosted? How many workshops are needed for each category? 16A. Trainings will be hosted at the Family League office. We will work with selected facilitators to determine the appropriate training dates and times. The number of workshops per category varies.
