Residents and Businesses are advised that a section of Burns Street, in the Town of Whitby will be closed to thru-traffic as detailed below. WHERE: WHEN: WHY:
Burns Street, from Denison Street to Hopkins Street (see map below) st th Monday March 15 to Wednesday June 30 To ensure that the reconstruction of Burns Street is completed in a safe and efficient manner
The reconstruction of this section of Burns Street is part of Contract W2009-7. The construction of this project will require the closure of Burns Street between Denison Street and Hopkins Street to facilitate safe and efficient construction activities. During the construction period, Denison Street will be closed periodically to all traffic for one (1) or two (2) days to permit construction activities to occur through the intersection. Temporary information signs will be installed on site to advise motorists of these closures. Access for local property owners, businesses and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times during construction, but delays should be expected. The Town realizes that the road closure will be disruptive to you, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding in this regard.
