SUNDAY 24 MAY BUPA WESTMINSTER MILE Constitution Hill, Spur Road, Link Road and Birdcage Walk (eastbound) will be closed from 16:00 on Sunday 24 May until 20:00 on Monday 25 May. Birdcage Walk (westbound) and Horse Guards Road will be closed 08:00-17:00 on Sunday 24 May and again from 08:00-14:00 on Monday 25 May. The Bupa Westminster Mile event will begin at 09:30.

On Sunday 24 May and bank holiday Monday 25 May 2015 the Bupa Westminster Mile and the Bupa London 10,000 running events will take place in the City of Westminster and the City of London. These events will involve closing roads to traffic in central London.

MONDAY 25 MAY (BANK HOLIDAY) BUPA LONDON 10,000 The following roads in Westminster and the City of London will close from 08:00-14:00: Whitehall, The Strand, Aldwych, Chancery Lane, Holborn, Holborn Viaduct, Newgate Street, King Edward Street, Angel Street, St Martin’s Le Grand, Cheapside, King Street, Gresham Street, Lothbury, Threadneedle Street, Queen Victoria Street, Cannon Street, New Change, New Fetter Lane. The Bupa London 10,000 will start at 10:00 on The Mall and the course will pass many famous London landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and St Paul’s Cathedral. Road closures will be implemented between 08:0014:00 on the course to enable the event to run safely.
CIT Y OF LONDON RESIDENT ACCESS On Monday 25 May, residents enclosed by the Chancery Lane / Holborn / New Fetter Lane route, can exit at these crossing points: › Southampton Buildings to Holborn eastbound carriageway (not used by event). › Furnival Street to Brooke Street or Holborn eastbound carriageway (not used by event).
Residents on St Andrews Street, Shoe Lane and surrounding areas will be able to exit via Stonecutter Street to Farringdon Street. Residents of Little Britain and Bartholomew Close can access and exit the area via Rotunda (Museum of London). Access will be facilitated by stewards when it is safe to do so.

On Sunday 24 May the Bupa Westminster Mile will take place on closed roads around St James’s Park only. The Bupa Westminster Mile is held on the most iconic mile in the world, starting on The Mall and finishing in front of Buckingham Palace. It features a series of mile races for all ages and abilities, so everyone can take part. There are races for families, juniors, adults, elite and wheelchair users.
