Men’s Masters Townsville

O50’s - Back: - Craig Roberts (GK Easts), Alan Thompson (Rockhampton), Mick Sciberras, Gil Voysey (Easts), Paul Sciberras, Ross Aitken, Paul Whitlock (debut), Ian Mackinder, Mal Speed (Pine Hills) Front: - Lauro Annon (Rockhampton), Heikki Systa (debut), Brian Johnston, Andrew Tyson

Congratulation to our own President Andrew Tyson who made it into the Queensland O55s number 2 team. The 2017 Australian Men’s Masters Hockey Championships will be played in Hobart Tasmania, from Saturday 23rd September to Saturday 7th October 2017.

Mick Sciberras with Meagan and Toby the dog. Mick forgot the men's vets trophy at home!!!!! What to do? Mick met Meagan whilst lining up for his flight to Townsville. Meagan was going to Townsville too but on a later flight. So Meagan kindly agreed to bring the trophy up if we could get it to her. Nathan Aitken was then employed as courier from Micks place and picked up the trophy and met Meagan at the airport for the transfer. Meagan brought the trophy up and exchanged the trophy for a few coronas with Mick at Townsville airport. We caught up with Meagan again at the cowboys game on Saturday night. She looks after the dog in the photo who is her squadrons mascot. Yet another story for the famous cup and yet another unbelievable story that only Mick could create.

Big fine for Mick and a big thanks to Meagan and her dog Toby.
