Pool usage may be altered to accommodate need. Lap swim includes water walking, senior swim, and therapeutic swim. Lifeguard and other aquatic training will be held as necessary - look for posted signs describing schedule changes, especially during holidays .

POOL RULES                  

Only YMCA members may use the swimming pool. Shower before entering the pool. No diving into the pool. Children under the age of 8 must be supervised by a parent or guardian in the pool area (ages 16 or over). Anyone under the age of 14 must complete a swim test. Walk on the pool deck. No prolonged breath holding. Rough Play is not allowed in the pool or pool area. Glass containers are not allowed in the pool area. Use restroom areas for diaper changing. Animals are not permitted in the pool area, except for service animals. No one with a communicable disease, infections or open sores are permitted to enter the pool. Spitting, urinating, blowing of the nose, spouting of water, or deposits of foreign matter in the pool is not allowed. In the event of severe weather, the pool may be closed. Only coast guard approved lifejackets are allowed. Arm floaties and air inflated floatation devices are not permitted in the pool. Appropriate bathing attire required. No cut offs, denim, etc. YMCA management reserves the right to remove members from the pool for any unsafe behavior or policy violations. All hair longer than shoulder-length must be restrained

Swim Test / Wrist Bands  

Anyone under the age of 14 must take a swim test prior to entering the pool. Once the test is completed a band will be issued as follows: o Green: Able to swim 25 yards in a strong manner. Able to use any part of the pool. o Yellow: Able to swim more than 15 feet, but less than 25 yards, or able to stand flat footed in the deepest part of the pool with head fully above water. Cannot be in Lap Lanes. o Red: Unable to swim 15 feet and cannot stand in the deepest part of the pool. Must be in a Coast Guard approved PFD or in arm’s reach of an attentive parent or guardian.

Weather Policy 



In the event of severe weather including thunder, lightning, tornado watch or warnings, etc. the pool will close and no one will be allowed on the pool deck. Lifeguards will notify the front desk when the pool can reopen. Swim lesson make up due to weather will take place on the Friday following the pool closing. Please see your instructor for confirmation.

Swim Diapers  

All children not fully toilet trained must wear appropriate swim diapers. Diapers must be changed in locker rooms – not on pool deck.

Pool Rentals:  

Pool rentals take place from 6:00-8:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays only. Cost of Rentals varies based on number of people attending the pool party. Non-swimmers are included in this count.
