A message from SAN ELIJO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CALL FOR PTO EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS! San Elijo Elementary School is now accepting applications for its 20162017 Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Executive Board! All SEES Parents and Teachers are members of the PTO and are eligible to serve. Everyone is encouraged to apply! The PTO Executive Board represents the school population and is responsible for planning and implementing our school's social and fundraising activities. The efforts of the PTO result in funding for Technology, Art, Music, Drama, and Science Teachers, as well as Instructional Aides, Eagle Play, Accelerated Reader (AR), and many other critical areas that the district funding to our school does not support. The PTO Board is elected each year and includes the following officers: ● President (2year Term) Monee Gardner and Karen Morton will continue their term ● VicePresident of Fundraising Events ● VicePresident of Fundraising Programs ● VicePresident of Activities ● VicePresident of Volunteer Coordination ● VicePresident of School Spirit ● VicePresident of Room Parent Coordination ● Vice President of Country Fair ● VicePresident of Communications ● Secretary ● Treasurer ● Financial Secretary Board Members Not Included in Election ● Teacher Representative (elected by SEES teachers/nonvoting member) ● Principal (nonvoting member) To find job descriptions for each of these positions, please visit the PTO page on the SEES Website. Two parents may share a position, but need only fill out one application. We are also seeking committee members for many of the offices. Any and all help is valuable and appreciated! Just check the box below and indicate if there is a specific area you are interested in.
Please return the application below to the PTO mailbox, in a sealed envelope addressed to PTO Secretary by 3:00 PM, Friday, May 27th. Ballots will then go out electronically to all SEES families, and voting will be closed on June 3rd. New officers will be announced after the votes are tallied. Please plan on attending our next PTO Board Meeting on June 6, 2016. If you have any questions about what the PTO does please feel free to speak to any of the 2015/2016 PTO Board Members.
