About the Client
The Client is a Joint Stock Company that specializes in Manufacturing Metal Engineering Products and Services, which was established in 1989. It is a rapidly growing company since its inception with strong market presence in more than 14 countries. Specialties: Manufacturing Metal Engineering Products and Services, High Carbon Steel Wire Products Plant, World Class Foundry, The first and only axle manufacturing plant in the Middle East, The first and largest manufacturer of PC strands in the Middle East, Technical and Engineering Services.
Business Situation
It was running a standalone legacy system to carry out its administrative tasks. Departments such as Sales and Procurement were integrated with the Finance department through the same legacy system, but there was a lack of efficient integration between its Production and HR departments with the Finance department, which hampered employee productivity and created bottlenecks within these business processes. Their Manufacturing Industry Production process was maintained and tracked with the help of excel sheets, and the lack of proficient integration between the production and the finance department resulted in a lot of manual work at the end of each month; Production department had to send the order status to the finance department to maintain entries and generate reports. There was no real time visibility for the management to know how many orders had been processed at a particular time of the month. Similar situation was prevalent between the HR and the Finance department. All the HR processes were carried outside the ambit of a cohesive business system and the journal entries were delivered to the Finance department prospectively. Their Management was thus looking for a concrete solution to integrate its Production and HR processes seamlessly with the Finance department to realize enhanced financial and operational efficiency.

Kaar, post comprehensively studying the present business scenario and processes of Client, proposed implementing SAP S/4HANA Enterprise management encompassing 80 end users. The goal was to standardize the Production and the HR department and seamlessly integrate them with the Finance department. Hence the management would have access to key business reports anytime, anywhere. Month end closing would be timely and automated, and data integrity and reliability would be ensured. How was it addressed?
Kaar conducted pre-implementation training for the 80-odd end users even before it initiated the requirement gathering session to generate awareness about the new system and processes to align the end users with SAP standard practices. Kaar worked in conjunction with the client to ensure that the new system and processes were followed and practiced to complete the End to End process. Kaar clearly defined the Roles and the Authorization matrix in the initial phase of the project for the end users, which post approval by their respective Business Heads were incorporated in the system to stream line the end user integration process. These initiatives helped the users and the management to better understand the system to proficiently carry out the business processes.
