LITTLE SABRES PRESCHOOL

Early Childhood Screening The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are an important time of rapid learning and growth. Screening checks your child’s growth and development for possible health or learning concerns. • Complete between 3 and 4 years of age • Minnesota state statute requires that all children participate in early childhood screening prior to the start of public kindergarten entrance. • Screening is a quick and simple check of your child’s development, height, weight, vision, hearing and immunization records. • Takes an hour to complete and your child’s screening results will be shared with you at the conclusion of the appointment. • Early Childhood Screenings have previously been referred to as Preschool or Kindergarten Screenings. You only need to do one screening!
