Twenty Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time Old & New @ Number 5 continues to do well. We need good winter clothes, particularly coats, to replenish our stock along with good quality gifts and bric-a-brac. Thanks to all who have donated over the past few weeks. A Coffee & Cake fundraiser for Breast Cancer month will be held in the shop from 10am-4pm on Thurs 19 Oct, come along and support this important cause. All are very welcome. Taizé at Clonard 17 October A special evening of Taizé prayer, music and reflection will take place in Clonard Church on Tues 17 Oct at 7:30pm. The Taizé Community is an ecumenical monastic order in Burgundy, France. It is composed of more than one hundred brothers, from Catholic and Protestant traditions, who originate from about thirty countries across the world. It was founded in 1940 by Brother Roger Schütz. Taizé is a place of great pilgrimage for many young people from around the world every year. Brother Jean Marie from the Taizé Community will join us for this special evening. ALL ARE WELCOME Workshop on the Eucharist All ministers of the Eucharist in the parish are invited to come together with those from other parishes to a workshop on the Eucharist in our parish Hall beginning Fri 20 Oct from 7.30pm to approx 10.00pm and Sat 21 Oct from 10.00am until 1.00pm.
