Scholarships Available for Students/Residents The Governor’s Institute on Substance Abuse will be offering a limited number of scholarships to qualified applicants who are interested in attending the Addiction Medicine 2017 Conference. The 2.5-day conference will provide clinically relevant and up-to-date substance use related training, applicable across general medical as well as addiction specialty practices. Dr. Corey Waller, MD, MS, DFASAM will deliver the opening plenary. Other plenaries will address challenges in addiction medicine and how to improve through integrated care, followed by presentations on the evolving opioid landscape - including guidelines and best practices, and review of complex comorbidities - both medical and psychiatric. As in years past, a range of workshops, will also allow participants to select areas for individualized attention. Join us for two and a half days of educational sessions led by outstanding regional and national experts and a broad range of attendees, including Addiction Medicine specialists as well as Primary Care Clinicians.
