Required: • Each individual teacher leading a class of students is required to complete the application and attend a Saturday pre-mission training prior to the scheduled mission date. Expedition Mars training occurs on Saturday, January 6, 2018 and Micronauts training will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2017 for classes attending missions January through May 2018. • Classes must serve Title I program students. • Priority is awarded to applications paired with classes at the same school for the same day of programming. • Applications will be open through December 15, 2017 for the first cohort of awards. **A second call for applications for the balance of the awards will occur at the start of the next school year in August 2018 with a new Saturday date for a teaching training program in the fall. • Students and teachers will be required to take post mission surveys for all Mars missions.
