Scopus Author ID Make sure your Author Profile looks its best! Make sure that employers, funders, and REF see your best possible profile. Scopus is one source they will often check. To make sure your Author Profile in Scopus looks its best, you need to ensure that all of your research outputs recorded in Scopus have been merged under a single Scopus Author ID. This way, any citations to your work, within the Scopus database, are correctly accredited to you. In SCOPUS - www.scopus.com select the tab Author Search & search for yourself. 1. You can limit to broad categories (e.g. Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences & Humanities). 2. You can add the name of your institution (e.g. Swansea), but remember this may then miss any results where the institution has not been recorded on the record, or which were produced when you were at another institution. 3. A list of possible authors will then be displayed. Identify any that would be you. NOTE: Sometimes you will see that it is only displaying some of the possible matches. To see the others Show Profile Matches with one Document. 4. If you have a large list to go through, then use the side panel to exclude non-relevant results. For example, you could select countries or subject areas to exclude. Alternatively, you could use these same facets to limit the results. Take care not to narrow too much.

Clicking View more will give you more options to select from.

5.

If you can see your publications spread across more than one author variant, then you should tick to select the authors that are you, and click on Request to merge authors (at the top of the results page).

If everything is under the one author heading, then you need do no more; and, you can view your Author Profile Page.
