PROSPERITY (MEANING) • A successful, flourishing, or thriving condition, especially in financial respects; good fortune. • Prosperity can be defined as a state of being prosperous which is related to success, wealth and luxury - but as believers, our focus is always on the mind of God and His agenda concerning prosperity in our destiny. • In Deuteronomy 8:18, the Word of the Lord says, “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth.” • Also, in the book of Proverbs 8:18, it tells us that riches and honor are in the Lord. • Looking at both Scriptures gives us an assurance as believers that in God, there’s riches and wealth; and God Himself is the only Source of it. • It also shows us that God’s desire is for us to gain wealth and be prosperous.

DOES GOD WANT US TO PROSPER? WHY DOES GOD WANT US TO PROSPER? (1) God wants you to prosper so that you will be a blessing to the less privileged and also to help the poor. In Acts 9:36, the Bible talks about a woman by the name of Dorcas , who was described as “full of good works and charitable deed.” She was a blessing to many through giving. The Bible also says in Acts 20:35 that in laboring, one must support the weak and remember the Word of the Lord which says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (2) God wants you to prosper so that you will be a benefit to the Kingdom of God for the advancement of God’s work and the Gospel. In Luke 8:1-3, while Jesus was preaching and bringing glad tidings of the Kingdom of God in various cities and villages with His disciples, there were three women who were healed from evil spirits and infirmities. These women, named Mary Magdalene, Joanna, wife of Chuza, and Susanna provided for Jesus their substances, which supported him. Also, when Jesus died, He was even buried in the tomb of a rich man called Joseph of Arimathea (Matthew 27:57). If this man hadn’t been rich, he wouldn’t have had a place for Jesus to be buried. (3) God wants you to prosper in wealth and riches so that you can achieve your assignment on Earth. When Jesus was born, the Bible says His star led three wise men to visit Him. When they got to the birthplace of Jesus, they fell down and worshipped - and when they opened their treasures, they presented gifts to him. One of them was gold, which helped Him achieve his assignments on Earth. In fact, that is why He had his own accountant, Judas (Matthew 2:11).

(4) God wants you to prosper in wealth and riches so that you do not compromise and sin. Many people in the world today are indulging in a lot of evil and worldly activities, all in the name of wealth (money). Their impatience causes them to compromise in many ways leading them to dishonor the Word of the Lord and His promise for our lives. Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all other things shall be added unto you.” (5) God wants you to prosper so that you will be a blessing to the generations yet unborn. Proverbs 13:22 says that a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children - meaning you can only give inheritance when you are wealthy so that your generations yet unborn will follow and benefit greatly from it. (6) God intends for you to prosper so that diseases, sicknesses, and certain calamities can be avoided. Most times when people are seriously attacked with certain health conditions and there are no funds, it becomes very challenging. Most of these illness, injuries, surgeries, etc. require intensive medical attention, and all these involve a huge amount of money. Also, when someone has a court case and they do not have the money for a good lawyer, the individual can end up in jail. God’s plan for you is to have wealth to avoid unnecessary calamities and atrocities.

SOME NOTABLE BIBLICAL CHARACTERS / INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE EXTREMELY WEALTHY ABRAHAM - He was a very wealthy man. In Gen. 13:2, the Bible described him as a wealthy man who was rich in livestock, in silver and in gold. ISAAC - He experienced an increase in wealth. Gen. 26:13 says that he began to prosper and continued prospering until he became very prosperous. JACOB - He was very wealthy. In Gen 35:11-12, God made him fruitful and caused him to multiply. JOB - He increased in wealth and everything that he had. In Job 42:10, God restored to him all his wealth and gave him twice as much as he had before. DAVID - He was blessed by the Lord. In 1 Chronicles 29:28, he was blessed full of riches and honor. SOLOMON - He was blessed with riches and honor; and among the kings, there was no one like him. DORCAS - She was a blessed woman. In Acts 9:36, she used her wealth to do a lot of good and charitable deeds, which blessed many others.

EVIL KILLERS / ATTACKERS OF WEALTH AND PROSPERITY (1) PILES OF DEBT - A lot of people have accumulated debt in their lives. Also, certain debts are inherited, which can be a complex issue to sort out. (2) ILLNESS AND DISEASES - When one is attacked by an illness or a disease, the person’s effort to work hard ceases, which eventually stops him from working, thus leading him into poverty. (3) MIDIANITE SPIRIT - These are spirits that come to attack your harvest. Immediately after you get money, something strange that will require a lot of money like (strange diseases, illnesses, or even a fire in your home destroying all you have) happens, which lands you into serious poverty. In Judges 6:3, the Midianites came up against the people of Israel anytime they reaped something, taking away everything. (4) WRONG INVESTMENT & IDEAS - Investing wrongly or having bad investment ideas can cause you to lose a huge amount of money. Also, some people can get less returns from an investment made, which makes them very poor. (5) UNEMPLOYMENT - Unemployment is a very common wealth attacker in today’s world. Most people do not have jobs, which makes them borrow a lot. They end up owing so much to creditors; and even those with jobs are not making enough money to provide for themselves and their families.

(6) WRONG ASSOCIATION - This can also play a huge part in always being broke. A lot of people lose money by lending to friends who are constantly borrowing from them but are not settling their debt. Also, being in the company of bad friends who do not live according to their means because of higher standards they have set for themselves can lead you to copy their lifestyle, tempting you to live a lie by purchasing expensive cars, clothing, etc. to please people around you.

HOW TO ACHIEVE WEALTH All in all, as believers, we have come to know that wealth is acquired through God. But these are some ways that wealth can be achieved: (1) SELF-MADE - Through the inspiration of God, someone can get a great idea that can help create wealth. Example: Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc. (2) INHERITANCE - Wealth can be handed to someone through an inheritance from family, a father, or even a helper. (3) INVESTMENT - Through an investment, one can acquire wealth. Example: creating wealth by investing your money in real estate. (4) A DESTINY HELPER - God can connect you to destiny helpers and through your service, humility and dedication, they can pass on their wealth to you.

BIBLICAL WAYS OF PRESERVING YOUR WEALTH GIVING YOUR TITHES - Giving ten percent of your income to the Kingdom of God and being faithful in doing so (Malachi 3:10). GIVING - Giving to the poor and not ignoring those struggling in life, as well as doing a lot of charity work to bless the widow/ widower,orphans, and the less-privileged, etc. SACRIFICIAL MEANS - Sowing seeds, giving offerings to bless the work of God, and blessing men of God by sowing into their lives.

7 PROPHETIC INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CANCEL POVERTY / DEBT There are many prophetic directions in dealing with poverty and cancellation of debt. There are about seven instructions on how to cancel debt and poverty. In this eBook, I am giving you four of these instructions; for you to be able to access the remaining three, you must send me an email at [email protected] to activate it. (1) Everybody was born on a specific day. Look for your birthday and read Deuteronomy 8:18 to pray for the gift of wealth to come upon your life and cancel any spirit attacking your wealth. You must also pray to cancel any spirit of poverty hanging around your life and in the bloodline of your family. (2) You must know what you owe and find ways to work around it. Then you make plans on how to pay it off. (3) You must take a day off in the week to fast and pray. Tell God to empower you to break the spirit of poverty from your life and that of your family. (4) Do not be lazy. You need to be very focused on working hard so that you can support your needs and that of your family.

NOW PRAY THIS PRAYER. Holy Ghost, Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your power, Your strength, Your glory. Experiencing Your power means having the ability to enjoy Your goodness in the land of the living. Right now, Heavenly Father, deliver me from any spirit or power designed to work against my success and prosperity, or any spirit that is not happy for me to prosper. Help me to resist that power, in the name of Jesus. Have mercy on me by Your goodness and by Your glory, in the name of Jesus. Have mercy on my life and make me a channel of blessing. Bless me so that I will be a blessing to people. Bless me so that I can help the less privileged, the poor, the sick, the widow/widower, and the orphan. Let my life be an example to people, in the name of Jesus.

AND NOW LET ME PRAY FOR YOU. Father, in the name of Jesus, I speak by God’s mercy, by God’s grace, and by God’s power. I release supernatural wealth over you right now. Whatever has been assigned to cause you to be in debt, I rebuke it in Jesus’ name. I break any power that is making sure you do not find success, that is making sure you do not experience wealth. I break it in Jesus’ name . Beginning today, you will go beyond the reach of that power, you will go beyond the reach of the coverage area of the enemy, in the name of Jesus. May God send you your destiny helpers and destiny connectors, people who will be a blessing over your life in the name of Jesus, the Son of the living God, right now. Whatever that will come against you to kill or cripple your wealth, whether it’s diseases, disappointments, wrong ideas or wrong investment ideas, I rebuke it in the name of Jesus You are not a candidate for that trouble as the angels of God will be on assignment. If there’s any place you will go to that will cause you to lose wealth, I declare you will not go there, that instead the Lord will cause you to shine, that His rain will fall on you, that the goodness of God will come around your life. In the name of Jesus, I break forces of the enemy and I bless you with the blessing of the Lord. Receive the Lord’s goodness, receive the Lord’s grace, and receive the power of the Lord around your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Son of the living God..
