Pinellas County is hosting a neighborhood meeting to provide information about an intersection improvement study in Seminole. The open house meeting will be held on Thursday, July 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the gymnasium of Seminole High School, 8401 131st St. N., to discuss the Intersection Improvement Preliminary Engineering study, which includes three intersections and the adjoining roads at: • 131st Street North and 82nd Avenue North • 131st Street North and 86th Avenue North • 125th Street North and 86th Avenue North The adjoining roads provide access to four schools: Bauder Elementary School, Seminole Middle School, Seminole High School, and the Career Academies of Seminole. The meeting format is an open house with no formal presentation. The project team will display project information and answer questions about the study. The purpose of the proposed project is to enhance safety and provide for a higher capacity corridor to better meet future transportation demands for all users, including vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists. The study will form the basis for road work at these intersections as construction funds become available in the future.
