SENIOR FULL-STACK ENGINEER

We don’t like job descriptions at Wunder. Truth be told, we don’t even like calling them jobs. That said, we need someone to join the team and help us save the world, so call this what you will... Wunder was founded with one simple vision: to address the greatest crisis of our generation by accelerating the proliferation of renewable energy. Members of our team have raised hundreds of millions of dollars in private equity, developed energy infrastructure solutions for the Department of Energy, and built digital products used and loved by millions of people. Now, we’re saving the world. We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced, dependable, intellectually curious, and creative Full-Stack Developer to join our fast-growing startup. Like the rest of us, this person will wear many hats; you will work closely with our partners, customers, and investors. Specifically, you will be overseeing the development of our customer-facing investment portal that will help us build a strong investor base to finance the renewable energy infrastructure of the future. If you get excited about bringing an entirely new asset class to market, building an organization aimed at saving the world, and ensuring that all of the details (and code) needed to make all of that happen are covered, then this is the role for you.

Wunder is based out of Boulder, Colorado

YOU You are Language/Tool-Agnostic (So Long as It Works!) You already know that our stack includes Ruby on Rails and Angular because you took a spin through our product. You have experience with a range of frameworks and languages and know how to pick the right tool for the job.

You’re a Builder You might call yourself a hacker, a dev, or a software engineer... in any case, you’ve built things. You thrive off the thrill of taking sketches and block diagrams and turning them into high performance software. You stomp out complexity at every opportunity and refactor designs as the implementation sheds new light on your problem. Most importantly, you produce high quality software, quickly and efficiently.

You’re an Architect You’ve designed things. You’ve wrangled thorny problems into submission. You’ve collected requirements, grappled with understanding a new problem space, and iterated your way to well-balanced solutions.

You’re Adept at Security We have sensitive data to store but we don’t need online access to it. You’re excited to work with our security consultants to ensure that our system architecture is bulletproof.

You Might be a Secret Superhero We love well-rounded fullstack developers, especially ones that come to the table with a superpower. If you have experience deploying service-oriented applications to cloud infrastructure (see: Devops), we definitely want to talk to you. If you enjoy tuning the client side until it is pixel perfect (see front end), we definitely want to talk to you. If you have experience with developing data warehouses and architecting data stores for analysis and reporting, we definitely want to talk to you.

You Thrive in Ambiguity You’ve worked at early stage start-ups before and you love it. You prefer each day to bring fresh and exciting challenges, and you’re not just excited to work cross-functionally, you demand it.

You Believe That No Problem is Too Hard In an industry where people are constantly stuck, we find ways to get it done. You know how to articulate and roll out solutions, recognizing there are many solutions to the same problem. You find new and effective ways to streamline and create processes to increase efficiency.

US While our mission is big, we try to keep things light. We provide a happy, productive workplace, and we’re constantly improving it! “Wunder-ers” (...we’re still working on that) enjoy full benefits, unlimited vacation time, a competitive salary, stock options, and one of the only tangible opportunities to truly save the world.

INTERESTED? We’d love to speak with you! Please send your resume to [email protected], along with your Github and any past projects that you’re particularly proud of.
