SENIOR OPERATIONS OFFICER JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: SENIOR OPERATIONS OFFICER CURRENT POSITION HOLDER:

DEPARTMENT/UNIT: OPERATIONS REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER RUGBY

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION About The Role:

To ensure the timely and efficient delivery of all local and international competitions to the highest standards, deliver strategic marketing concepts which complement FRU strategies, and build and enhance good relationships with stakeholders. ROLES OF ACCOUNTABILITY

In delivery of this contract role the contractor will be required to carry out the following services:         

 

Ensures that Competition format and fixtures for all competitions under FRU and/or WR control are administered, communicated and managed Grounds and facilities are pre-booked and managed as needed Disciplinary procedures are efficient, consistent and remain autonomous. Receive and process all ordering of reports, sin binning reports and team sheets Laws of the game are communicated to the wider rugby fraternity on a regular and timely basis Promulgation of draws, day sheets, ground allocations, results and points tables Registrations and data input is collated efficiently and within set time frames Draws, Results and Tables are collated and distributed Cancellations and transfers are dealt with fairly within policy/protocol and all parties are communicated with Assist in scheduling, arranging and coordinating Rugby fixtures involving the FRU in the following areas: FRU fixtures (Vodafone Vanua Cup, Skipper, etc) WR fixtures (PNC, PRC, Oceania etc) and the NRC. Assist in managing Logistics both Inbound and Outbound tours – International and Provincial Assist in the effective operations of FRU and ensure company requirements are attended to and any other duties assigned by the Rugby Operations Manager.

Key skills sought:  Event design, production, management and direction  Technical qualifications and experience  Incumbent will be responsible for leading the development and organisation of creative and engaging high profile events for throughout the build up to, during and following Rugby World Cup 2015.



Candidates must be commercially astute and have experience of organising a range of mass participation events. Any exposure to sporting clients is highly desirable and beneficial to this role.
