Share your research, ideas and best practices! Call for Peer Presentation / Poster Submissions 2016 IAWHP Executive Summit on Worksite Health Promotion Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista • Orlando, Florida, USA • March 29, 2016 Submission Deadline - February 12, 2016

The 2016 IAWHP Executive Summit on Worksite Health Promotion is designed for executives, practitioners & students. The event will provide the business justification for establishing & maintaining a WHP program as well as offer an understanding of the emerging trends in effective programming. Practical applications, case studies & best practices will be addressed. Poster presentations will enhance the programming by showcasing research, innovative ideas and best practices in worksite health promotion. Students and professionals are encouraged to submit!

RESEARCH ABSTRACTS

CASE STUDY ABSTRACTS

(Must be organized with the sub-headings and contents as listed below)

Statement of the problem – Describe the overall problem studied and why it is important. Intervention (if appropriate) – Describe the intervention tested. Study design – Describe the structure of the study and the variables of interest. Sample size and composition – Describe the number and characteristics of subjects in the study. Measures utilized – Describe measurement tools used to measure the variables of interest. Analysis method – Describe statistics used to analyze data. Results – Report the analysis results in quantitative form. Conclusions – Describe the overall conclusions drawn from this study.

Organization (or community) – Describe the organization or community in which the program is based. Summary of the primary program – Describe the program’s core elements. Explanation of the evaluation plan – Describe outcomes or processes evaluated and how they were evaluated. Summary of the program impact – Explain in quantitative form the results the program has demonstrated to date.


Poster Presentation Abstract Submission Guidelines -

Specify if the presentation describes research or a case study. A 200-word abstract with a title (Using research or case study submission format provided). One-page summary of the presenter’s education and work experience, which includes name, title, education and certification credentials, current organization, address, phone, and email. Accepted poster presenters will be asked to submit a single Power Point presentation slide for the conference. Accepted abstract / poster presentations will be featured in IAWHP’s newsletter, Worksite Health International (in text form) and will be posted on the IAWHP website. By submitting an abstract, presenters grant IAWHP permission to reprint all or portions of the submitted abstract and/or Power Point presentation slide through all IAWHP mediums including, but not limited to, the IAWHP website, IAWHP’s Worksite Health International, and the IAWHP E-News. Email submissions to Reed Engel at [email protected]. The submission deadline is Friday, February 12, 2016.

Presentation Information -

Participants will be notified of their selection by Monday, February 22, 2016. Poster presenters will be responsible for paying the conference registration fee and for their own travel and lodging expenses. Participants must be present at the 2016 IAWHP Executive Summit on Worksite Health Promotion on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 during the poster presentation display times. An award for best poster will be announced at the IAWHP Business Meeting & Reception on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
