Summary of discussions and action points

Review of the meeting of December 2013 developments Partners briefing about the need to have the action plan V1 form completed. Partners briefing about the need to have the contingency stocks for the Bekaa table updated. Updates on shelter interventions in ITS: Medair and Save the Children have completed their initially assigned areas for shelter in the ITS. New identified sites will have to be divided between the agencies in order to avoid having gaps areas. Updates on the ITS V12 mapping: Medair did a small presentation about the V12 mapping of ITS in central and west Bekaa. An increase of 22% in terms of number of ITS was noted in addition to a 20% increase in the population compared to the V11 that was released two months earlier. The mapping shows the active, not active and migrants workers sites. Medair will be doing the North Bekaa ITS mapping within the next weeks. Medair will soon be identifying and mapping the collective centers in the Bekaa. Beirut policy for the ITS: A task force will be established for this that will possibly plan for the management of the ITS as requested by several agencies.

NRC has a pilot management project for the ITS where refugee committees will be in charge of managing the sites. Updates on shelter interventions in unfinished houses and collectives centres: NRC will only do unfinished houses rehabilitation in the Bekaa. DRC has 60 HU available for referrals across the Bekaa. DRC is mainly focusing on collective centers rehabilitation. Both DRC and NRC have collective centers management units in place. Aarsal updates: The Aarsal situation saw a 2nd influx on February 9th which is still ongoing. There are 32 ITS reported in the area in total with agencies working on shelter interventions for the ITS like SCL. Some of the new sites are located outside the LAF checkpoint. A mapping of those sites is ongoing. Co- chair of the shelter working group: Medair will co-chair the shelter working group starting January 1st till end of June 2014. AOB: The next shelter meeting to be held on March 12th at 1.00 PM
