All Registered Voters to Receive New Voter Information Cards Supervisor of Elections Shirley Anderson is mailing new Voter Information Cards to all Hernando County registered voters this month. Since the recent redistricting of Congressional and State Senate seats, voters now have a new Senate District number. The cards are for information only, and are not required for voting. The cards should start arriving in mailboxes September 15, 2016. The Voter Information Cards provide voters with important information about voting, including:  The name, residential address and birthdate on their voter registration record 

The voter’s political party

The voter’s precinct number and Election Day polling place

The voter’s districts for local and state offices

“Please check your card carefully and call our office if you see anything that needs to be corrected,” said Supervisor of Elections Shirley Anderson. “All cards are being mailed to the address we have on file for the voter. If you do not receive a card this may indicate that you are not registered or have outdated information on file. It is very important to have your information up to date before Election Day” Voters can look up their voter registration status at www.hernandovotes.com. The Voter Information Card mailer also includes information about ordering a Vote by Mail ballot and the acceptable forms of identification to bring to the polls.
