Today’s Chvrches Fan Podcast #9 is being recorded and set for release on Friday the 28th of October 2016. This is Chvrches fan Steve Holden recording in Southern California near San Diego. 3. As mentioned in the last podcast, Chvrches singer Lauren Mayberry has been added as special musical guest at Greg Barris’ “Laughter in Darkness” variety show that will be at Baby’s All Right in NYC on November 3. One thing that was awesome about the NYC was the sound system at Radio City Music Hall is apparently amazing. Pretty much every video posted seemed to have great audio associated with the video. The other thing I noticed was the number of posts from people who knew about Chvrches but had never seen them before. SONG - CHVRCHES - “Under The Tide” That short song segment sampler was “Under The Tide” from Chvrches first album “The Bones of What You Believe”. And I just realized that in today’s podcast that I’ve played two songs that Martin has of lately been performing on tour. That is really weird because I have this new secret formula for picking what songs to play and it is really just a fluke that this happened. Or maybe it is just fate. The fan interview for today’s podcast is with Chvrches Fan Lee Sanders (@LeeTSanders). Lee was able to sit down with me in San Diego during his 2016 USA tour of seeing football games, Chvrches concerts, friends, and tourist attractions. Today’s band interview is patched together interview Chvrches did for the show The Current from Minnesota Public Radio. This was posted on October 12, 2015 and was recorded pretty early in the beginnings of the tour for the album Every Open Eye. I think there is an interview from the 1st album on The Current so maybe I’ll insert that one in a future podcast. I really liked the questions and answers with regards to making the 2nd album and the discussion about books and luggage. They have broken out all the songs in full individual tracks of the songs Leave A Trace, Afterglow,
and The Mother We Share. Since Chvrches used their small studio setup that I’m partial to the sound of the recordings is really good especially with headphones on. CLOSING

The song Let’s Dance was the 3rd song on Side One of the album Let’s Dance that was released in April 1983. It was at that time David Bowie’s 15th Album. The single Let’s Dance was released on March 17, 1983. It became #1 in the US and UK plus 8 other countries that track such items. It was also certified Gold (with millions of copies sold) in the UK and also the US.
