mateurPianists welcomes you to our Second Annual Silent Auction & Piano Recital. We are pleased to have you join us today at the San Dieguito Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for a music-themed afternoon.

Since our formation in February 2011, we have held 33 events, including recitals, masterclasses, and lectures. Some of our past highlights have included an engaging lecture on mastering the playing of Schumann, a beautiful recital on “Sacred Music for the Keyboard,” two programs of original compositions, a “Young Artists” recital for anyone 18 and younger, and recitals by outstanding amateur pianists Thomas Maurice (Maryland) and Jeremias Mameghani (Germany). We have exciting events planned for the remainder of 2014 and 2015, including a recital featuring composers of Latin descent (i.e., Ginastera, Granados, Lecuona, Villa-Lobos), a celebration of Baroque music around Bach’s Birthday in March, and more. We listen to our members! If you have an idea for a recital or lecture topic, please let one of our board members know, or contact us through our website: AmateurPianists.org.
