Visitor Centre @ BUILDING 17 The Arkwright Experience Within this award winning Visitor Centre you will explore the historic textile mills between Matlock Bath and Derby where water power was used to create the modern factory system. Our scale model of the 15 mile long valley captivates visitors with interactive displays and film. Meet Sir Richard Arkwright himself in the stunning “Arkwright Experience” as CGI technology brings the great man to life. Hear him tell of his inventions, money and espionage as you enter his first mill.
