About the Client

Business Situation

The client was a leading mobile and cloud based recruiting portal.

Business Situation  The HCM ISV had a web-based ATS which included a reference system. References provided feedback by filling in a survey of ratings for various competencies. Users could define and configure different job roles which required different types of references.  As the ISV’s client base grew, the number of different types of job roles and positions increased rapidly, making administration of the reference system more difficult and timeconsuming. Each job role had different parameters and needed different number of references. Creating a new job role required administrators to manually create and add parameters to the job role. The interface was an unstructured list of options, which made creating and configuring new job roles timeconsuming.

 There was no option to create templates or copy configurations from previously created job-roles. As a result, administrators needed to do a lot of repetitive work to create new job roles. This model was not scalable for the growth in customers the ISV was experiencing.  The ISV wanted to transform the administrator UI of the reference system in order to make it easier for administrators to manage reference creation and form settings.

Harbinger Solution  A new hierarchical aggregation for different types of workforce was introduced to group together job roles. Some settings which were formerly attributed to job roles were transferred to workforce segment, allowing certain settings to be made common across various job roles.  Navigation through settings was simplified by grouping settings into categories, which resulted in streamlining the workflow to create new job roles, since job roles now belonged to specific workforce hierarchy and inherited all settings from it.

Harbinger Solution contd.. Reports and dashboards in the reference module were enhanced by including workforce hierarchy as an axis. This allowed administrators and clients to gain better insight into the reference process.
