[email protected] ) Course Description This course offers users an overview of San Juan’s employee online resources including Portal, Q SIS, Schoology, ERO, SmartFind Express, SchoolWires and Google Apps for education. As well as offering an overview of these resources, it will give users instructions on how to get started with Q SIS including taking attendance (for elementary and secondary) and Q Gradebook setup (for secondary)and Schoology Gradebook (for elementary). PD is delivered online through selfpaced learning modules (asynchronous) that include video and document based tutorials. Additionally, participants will meet online (synchronous via webinar; e.g., GoTo Webinar) for realtime support and discussion. Participants will receive 2 hours continuing education in ERO.
Learning Goals Participants will learn about the technology resources that San Juan Unified offers their employees. Learning Outcomes Participants will login to portal.sanjuan.edu and access and understand San Juan’s employee resources. They will login to Q SIS and learn to take attendance and they will get started with either QSIS Gradebook (secondary)or Schoology Gradebook(primary). Course Structure This course is delivered entirely online with both asynchronous (independent, selfpaced) learning assignments and synchronous (realtime webinar or inperson) presentations and discussions. Participants opting to earn CEU’s (continuing education units) will earn 2 CEU hours for successful completion of the course.

Course Communication – Announcements and Feed Posts Updates and announcements will be posted in the Schoology course. Participants will need to enable notifications via email and/or within the mobile Schoology App where they will be able to view posts via the course default page feed.
Course Outline Section One: Intro Webinar and Internet Safety The webinar will kickoff the course. Tech TOSA’s will briefly cover the expectations of the course, explain the structure of the course and how to navigate the Schoology LMS. All participants must participate in the webinar (online) in order to stay enrolled in the course. This first section of the course will review San Juan’s employee online resources including Portal, Q SIS, Schoology, ERO, SmartFind Express, SchoolWires and Google Apps for Education.

Section Two: Q SIS/ Gradebook (secondary) or Q SIS/Schoology Gradebook (primary) This section covers taking roll in Q and reviews either Q Gradebook or Schoology Gradebook. Coursework will be differentiated by grade level. Workshop: Technology TOSA’s will schedule an optional workshop to support the participants of this course.
