Justin Schulte – Head Coach

Justin Schulte enters his 20th season as a head coach and 23rd season in college baseball. The 2017-2018 season will mark Schulte’s 13th season leading the Blackhawks. In his first 19 seasons as a head coach, Schulte has compiled 749 victories – 473 of which have come in his twelve seasons at Southeastern, the best twelve-year run in school history Schulte came to SCC from Mt. Mercy College where he led the Mustang’s to 276 wins in 7 seasons. This is more wins than any 4 year school in Iowa within that time span. While at Mt. Mercy, his team made 6 Regional Tournaments in 7 years and had 7 of the top seasons in school history while breaking numerous school records. Prior to Mt. Mercy, Schulte was the pitching coach at Southeastern from 1996-1998 and in 1998 the team broke the school record for wins, a record broken in the spring of 2009. Chris Ramirez-Head Coach University of Illinois Springfield

Chris Ramirez joins the Winter Camp Staff for the 2nd year straight year. Coach Ramirez is no stranger to Southeast Iowa as he was an All-State Player on the 2000 State Championship team at Fort Madison High School. Chris started his college coaching career at Southeastern in the fall of 2005 and was the hitting coach for 2 seasons, including the 2007 ICCAC conference championship. Chris was also the Head Baseball Coach at West Burlington high school in the summer of 2006. Chris went on to be the recruiting coordinator at NCAA Division 1 Texas A&M Corpus Christi from 2007 to 2103 where the program reached heights never seen before in program history. In the summer of 2014 Chris took over as the Head Baseball Coach at The University of Illinois Springfield and quickly made the program an annual contender in the NCAA Division 2 Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Please recognize the neither SCC nor the baseball clinics carry accident insurance for injuries sustained by participants of its programs. The cost of such would make program fees prohibitive. Therefore, each person registering themselves or a family member for the 2017 SCC Winter Break CAMP should review their own health insurance policy for coverage. It must be noted that the absence of health insurance coverage does not make SCC nor the baseball clinic responsible for payment of medical expenses. Please read this form carefully and be aware that in registering yourself or your minor child/ward for participation in the 2017 SCC Winter Break CAMP, you will be waiving and releasing all claims for injuries you or your child/ward might sustain arising from these programs. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS As a participant in the 2017 SCC Winter Break CAMP, I agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, including death, damages, or loss regardless of severity, which I or my child/ward may sustain as a result of participation in any and all activities connected with or associated with such clinic. I do hereby fully release and discharge SCC and its officers, agents, servants, and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death damage, or loss with I or my child/ward may have or which accrue to me on account of my participation. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend SCC and its officers, agents, servants, and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damages, and losses sustained by me or my child/ward or arising from or connected with, or in any way associated with the activities of the program. All participants agree that any photography taken while participating in the 2017 SCC Winter Break CAMP may be used for promotional purposes for SCC or the baseball clinic.
