Two days before the final presidential candidate debate in Las Vegas, Every Child Matters, the Nevada Institute for Children’s Research and Policy, the Children’s Advocacy Alliance of Nevada and our partners are hosting a day of nonpartisan activities to highlight the opportunity gap facing millions of American children, and how we can work together to close it. Tips for Engagement Be sure to include the event hashtag in your posts: #KidsOpportunity Try to limit the hashtags and handles to 3 per post. You want a readable message. Shorter Tweets do better: 120 characters and under are more likely to be shared, clicked and liked. Include images, photos and video, they get attention. If you start a Tweet with a handle, put a period (.) before it: .@name. Otherwise, it's only visible to people who follow both you and the handle you mention. Don’t just “push out” information, interact with friends, followers and like-minded organizations. Ask and answer questions. Share quotes, key takeaways, statistics that move you. Tag speakers and organizations where possible.

Join us with best-selling author Dr. Robert Putnam on October 17 in Las Vegas, NV, and online to learn how we can give all children in the US access to the opportunities and future they deserve. Register now! bit.ly/kidsopp #KidsOpportunity
